2. Make All Products & Services as Taxable in QuickBooks Online
Galvix calculates taxes on your products & services based on the tax category assigned to each of them in Galvix. However, for Galvix to be able to calculate and apply the right amount of tax on an individual product or service, it must be marked as a "Taxable" item in QuickBooks Online.
To mark a product or service as Taxable in QuickBooks Online, follow these steps:
- In the QuickBooks app, go to Sales (from the left navigation) → Products and Services.
- Locate the product you want to update in the list and click Edit (found under the 'Action' column) for that row.
- Scroll down to the Sales Tax section and click Edit Sales Tax.
- Under Other Options, select Taxable.
- Click Done, then select Save and Close to apply the changes.
3. Disable Existing Tax Agencies.
To disable existing tax agencies in QuickBooks, follow these steps:
- In the QuickBooks app, go to Taxes (from the left navigation).
- Click on Sales tax.
- Go to Sales tax settings.
- Mark all the tax agencies as Inactive.
Once all these 3 steps are completed, create and save a new invoice in QuickBooks. After saving the invoice, Galvix applies the appropriate taxes to it. If you encounter any issues with tax determination, contact us at support@galvix.com for assistance.
